Swindon Therapy centre is a charity for people affected by MS and other neurological conditions. Although we have a small staff, we run the centre mainly using volunteers. Therefore there are many roles if you would like to join our team ranging from Operating the oxygen chamber, helping physiotherapists in the gym, administration assistance or fund raising please get in touch with the member services manager.

1 hour a month

We are often able to collect money at local stores and need collectors to help for an hour or two occasionally.

A couple of hours a week

We have many volunteer roles at the centre including reception, administration, oxygen operators, physiotherapy assistants, welfare support. (Training given where necessary)

Ad-hoc availability

We also need assistance with DIY and gardening including painting and cleaning.

What is in it for me?

Members benefit hugely from the therapies we offer, but we rely heavily on volunteers to help us. Volunteering will enable you to help those suffering from neurological conditions and meet some inspiring people along the way.

How often can I volunteer?

We have ad-hoc events where we need help, such as store collections or opportunities within the centre which can be regular slots. We can be flexible and are grateful to all offers of help.

What do our members say?

"Coming to the Centre gives me purpose. The purpose I had before was work, but now, without the work, it's not nice."

"Coming to the Centre was just a focus in our lives which we'd lost. I actually now volunteer every Wednesday morning, and that's good for me. I get great satisfaction out of being there."
