Statement Of Objectives
Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a charity whose main objective is to promote self-help for people with MS. Membership is open to people with MS, their families and friends, and anyone with an interest in MS, whether personal or professional.
Our primary objective is to provide a disease management programme for Multiple Sclerosis, using appropriate professional advisers where necessary.
We aim to achieve our primary objective by:
- Offering a range of therapies complementary to those available under the NHS, such as High Dosage Oxygen therapy, physiotherapy, dietary advice and counselling.
- Providing mutual support for sufferers and their families and friends by the sharing of experiences.
- The dissemination of information about MS and other relevant issues.
- The provision of social activities for our members.
Our aim is to continue to operate our therapy regime in suitable premises and to ensure that access for people with severe disability is as easy as possible.
We aim to work in co-operation with health care and other statutory agencies and, by complementing their services, to improve the quality of life for all who live with the effects of Multiple Sclerosis.
