Funding
Swindon Therapy Centre is a voluntary organisation and receives no central funding. We are entirely reliant on our own fund-raising efforts and any donations made to us by firms, other voluntary organisations and members of the public.
We have been fortunate to have received substantial donations from some local companies and their employees from time to time. We have also been given donations by local Round Tables, Rotary and Lions Clubs, and other voluntary organisations, but these have all been on a one-off basis.
Funding on an ongoing and regular basis would be a tremendous help to the Centre and would help ease the burden on our membership who all have, or live with, the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis and its attendant problems.
Annual running costs are now over £30,000 and half of this is raised by our own fund-raising events (store collections, quizzes, tombola and book stalls, sponsored events etc) with the balance coming from donations by members, companies and individuals.
The Centre receives some donations under the Give As You Earn scheme. We are always pleased to find companies whose employees are willing to help our funding in this way. Our Charities Aid number is 268369 and our Inland Revenue number is 084.CK.13039.
It is our intention to find sufficient funds to ensure the long term future of the Centre , and we are happy to co-operate with firms and organisations that are able to assist us.
If you are able and willing to help with our funding in some way, we would be delighted to hear from you.
